Questions and answers about the shutdown
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/polit...n/2888419/

"Due to disagreement regarding inclusion of language defunding or delaying the Affordable Care Act,[13] the Government has not passed a funding bill. Negotiations have come to a stop and the shutdown is in progress."

In simple english, the government of the U.S.A. has stopped paying for certain things, therefore certain services aren't provided anymore. Some might even be more shut down in a few weeks. This is a total different situation than the other shutdowns from the 1990s since many things have changed since the since then.

It's already been 3 days since the government shutdown. Let's see how long it stays up. What do you think of this?

Update: The government shutdown has ended as far as I can see, on the 17th of October. It has lasted 16 days.

RE: Government Shutdown
the government shutdown (to me at least) is just a ruse. in reality, the politicians in washington d.c. and of course barack obama are puppets of the higher-ups. it's all a show for the people so they can think "oh my god, these politicians are fucking stupid. obamacare is a good idea!" and allow the rothschilds et al. to pass more bills through obama with little public backlash. consider it like this: they do have the money. the federal reserve can pretty much create 4 quadrillion dollars out of nowhere. there is money to fund obamacare, but they choose to not do that so they can put on shows like this one.

RE: Government Shutdown
One of my friends is currently out of work as a result of the shutdown and due to America's crap education system it's making it hard for her to pay for her son's (who is also my friend) university fees and living away from home/at college costs.. Frustrating for them.

RE: Government Shutdown
Living in the USA, I've seen no notable differences. Everything they have done has been to poke at us as an annoyance. What I find to be the most interesting is that Obama has gone out of his way to bother the US. Instead of simply closing down jobs for national parks he fenced the areas off and paid guards to sit outside them. Honestly the whole situation seems like two spoiled children fighting. Hopefully Obama being the president matures up and doesn't let my country go to shit over a pissing contest. (excuse my language)Blush

Well that could be because they're hiding something in there. This whole thing could be a distraction after all.
