Guilty Pleasures
Do any of you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to music?? Any bands/artists that you don't like admitting you listen to?? Now is the time to admit it! If you don't still tell me!

I actually cant think of any but i used to listen to a lot of Dragonforce, but never told anybody about it Tongue

RE: Guilty Pleasures
I listen to some video game soundtracks but I have no problem admitting that, does that count?
Time to realize that the truth is not so clear!!!

RE: Guilty Pleasures
When im at work (tk maxx) the music they play is sometimes catchy for me, especially when im moving around, stacking clothes on the racks, but then again i understand how bad the lyrics are at the same time. Thats the problem with mainstream music its ear friendly but its spiritual poison aswell.
When it comes to actually deciding to listen to music, i never listen to mainstream/pop music ^.^

Anberlin, Thursday and Karate High School are my biggest ones... I got really addicted to the song "Aint Love Grande" by Atreyu a little while back also... I'm still not free from the mainstream but it's slowly getting out of my system. Big Grin

The same way as Gray Morning said I'm not sure if it counts seeing as I don't try to hide it.

Not that I listen to the songs often but I like them when I hear them. I listened to them a lot when I was 18.

RE: Guilty Pleasures
Yeah it counts!! Tongue It's still a guilty pleasure even if you admit it
I'm glad I'm not the only one here who enjoys the occasional mainstream listen Wink Like you Nhoj, (dont know your actual name sorry) it's becoming less appealing to me, but I think there will always be a little bit of mainstream stuff that I will enjoy, I don't see it as a terribly bad thing though.

Thinking about it - I enjoy most of the popular nu-metal bands (Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park etc.) when they're played, but I never really choose to listen to them.

RE: Guilty Pleasures
Sometimes I go on nostalgia trips with music I used to listen to, just to reminisce, and almost all of it is mainstream. All three songs Gatis listed are songs I do that with. Also Hawthorne Heights
Punk rock should mean freedom. Liking and accepting anything that you like, playing whatever you want, as sloppy as you want. As long as it's good and it has passion. - Kurt Cobain

I partly laugh at the old scenecore but it's addicting. It's just fun to listen to because you can't fully take it serious.

Here's another band I forgot to add:

@Dave. I also only realized it after months. Read his name backwards.
