Saw it years ago because it was at the end of some song. Screamo I believe.
Who knows how serious he meant it. Clearly a new sound was born in the mid-80s.

I'm pretty sure Guy Picciotto (Rites of Spring, Fugazi) also said he didn't like the term emo.
Doesn't really matter though. Varg says he doesn't like the term black metal but most of his music still is

is it somehow really true that whole society tries to juxtapose our emotions and try to divide us into labels, or is it just another cop-out to consciously blind us like we're robots to society? isn't it obvious that emo as in emotive hardcore trying to divide our human emotions as a mean to form a sort of emotional slavery?
